Our Code
- Defend your Clan, even with your life. Betraying your clan is a violation of the code.
- Stay away from the coyote's territory, they are unforgiving and will destroy the clan. Leaf-fall is their time so keep an extra eye out.
- Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
- Prey is killed only to be eaten, no prey shall be wasted unless it will cause sickness or death. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
- A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. All ceremonies for apprentices shall be held at moonhigh on Howling Rocks where the clan will yowl the new apprentice's name to the stars.
- Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name atop Howling Rocks.
- A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
- The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled.
- A leader can only be exiled if the majority of the clan approves of it, including the deputy, and have probable cause (ie: killing a clanmate out of murderous attentent)
- After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
- Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
- No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
- The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
- An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
- A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
- Loners are to be left alone to maintain peace, if there is an abundance of prey for the clan then it is to be shared with those less fortunate outside of the clan. If a coyote is to attack a cat outside of the clan it is the clan's duty to foil the coyote's plan and save any cats in need of and willing to take help.
- If medicine cats are to have kits they must have their apprentice or a willing and capable replacement until the kits are of age to be apprenticed. It is not completely forbidden for med cats to have kits.
