Clan Traditions
Howling Rocks
When an apprentice is to be named they are taken to Howling Rocks with their to-be mentors (sometimes exceptions are made) and are given their apprentice name under the stars where they and the new mentor will "howl" to the stars above. Warriors will also, after being named, sit on top of Howling Rocks for a whole night and when their shift is over they will yowl to the rising sun. It was originally started by Houndhowl who's time was the shortest in Howlclan. It was to originally be a communication device between them and the coyotes so both groups would know where each other were. It has since then be turned into a tradition to honor newly named apprentices and warriors.
